Under your maternal gaze everything tastes like influenza

from Intangible Arts

Book/Magazine

The first book to be published under the Intangible Arts imprint: Limited run of 50 numbered copies, 6x9 softcover, 120 pages.

"Under your maternal gaze everything tastes like influenza" is a full book treatment of the Intangible Arts twitter archive (2012–2018), which was an experimental language deconstruction art project more than any attempt at "social media."

INFLUENZA is not poetry, not narrative, not linear. It is language used as a bludgeon of derangement, a synesthetic attempt at literature using the methodologies of abstract music composition. The texts are unhinged and visionary, rewarding those with the patience to experience it on its own terms.

INFLUENZA also captures the rise of Trump and his fawning sycophants, since this was written in the twitter environment during that time. So the experiment became a bizarre time-capsule of the world tipping into a new modern madness.
